Idea:GPSBabel Filters

GPSBabel has many interesting filters that modify tracks and/or waypoints. Filters useful in Viking (in addition to those mentioned in Idea:Selections) include:

  • Simplify a track to a specified number of points
  • Remove trackpoints which are close to each other in space and/or time
  • Interpolation (possibly useful if trackpoints are hundreds of miles apart)
  • Remove duplication based on location and/or name (X, X#2, X#3, etc)

All of these should be fairly straightforward to implement in Viking via a "Filter" right-click option. But is this feature bloat?
